Victoria Wood Studio - A Gateway to Recognition

Before

Victoria Wood Studio, a local gate-making company, has made it to the finalist round in "the Georgies," the Canadian Home Builders' Association provincial competition in building and renovation excellence. The entry in the best single-family landscape design - renovation category is a passageway at 10 Mile Point. Dieuwertje (Dita) von Aesch handcrafted the elegant gate out of red cedar, using mortise and tenon joinery. "Our company believes that beauty does not stop at the front door," says von Aesch. The company is competing against entries from Whistler, West Vancouver and South Delta. The winner will be announced in February.
